My February Resolution

My mom and dad came over today to help me with the kids, catch up and organize. I love it when they come over...its fun to see them and catch up, the kids love hanging out with Grandma and Grandpa, and we always get so much done. (I love this video I shot of Evan and Grandpa coloring and singing...they were good buddies today!)

They've inspired me to start work on my laundry room/pantry/mudroom. I can't tell you how long that "multipurpose" room has bugged me. Because there is so much going on in there, and because we haven't done enough to set up workable systems for this room that is so critical to everyday life in this house, most of the time it is completely out of control. Just keeping it real, you know. But...I really don't want us to live like that anymore.

In talking it through and jumping right into it with my mom today, I am getting past that overwhelmed feeling, and am starting to make some plans. WAHOO!!! I love my parents!! I lost my steam a bit after my work in the basement, but I'm now ready to take on another challenge. My "February Resolution" is recreating our laundry room...painting it, making it functional, and maybe even a little decorative too.

There...I've said it. Its out there. Again, you can hold me to it!

M.E. again!

I just played the video for your dad! He called it the "Doodle Duet." Frank Sinatra's "Duets" has nothing on Evan and grandpa! Your dad enjoyed yesterday just as much as I did!

Love,
mom
