Wow. What a whirlwind these past few days have been. Between disassembling the laundry room and pantry and moving everything into the living room (mental note: Never, EVER do this again with a 2 year old in the house), and then pulling the kids out of school to go to a water park for a couple of days with friends, we are EXHAUSTED. Thank God tomorrow is Saturday and we still have a couple of days to recover and work to get things back to normal.
We had a great time at the water park, and the kids were on Cloud 9 swimming with their friends and playing at the arcade non-stop. We got an amazing deal on a suite, and couldn't pass it up. The only drawback was that we had to pull the kids out of school to do it, but they didn't complain that much (or at all), and it was only for a day. Can't wait to do it again! (Hopefully, we'll post pictures soon. My friend is going to send some to me. Believe it or not, I did not take a single picture. I know, that is not like me, but there was just too much going on. :)
On the way home, crossing over the river we saw 2 BALD Eagles!!! One flew right over our car, probably about 30 yards away! AMAZING!
So, all play and no work means our family gets nothing done, so tomorrow its back to our big laundry room project. Already it is unrecognizable (ok, that might be overstating it a little bit) from what is shown in this video clip. Everything is out, and all of the shelves and hooks are GONE. Caroline and I scrubbed the floors and the walls. Dave spackled all the holes. We are all set tomorrow to paint. And then to install the laundry cabinets. And then the shelves in our new pantry. We might be expecting a little too much out of this weekend, but whatever we get done will be good. Considering all that we've got going on, we are moving along, and that makes us happy.
