Let it snow!

This morning the air was filled with big, fluffy snowflakes, the kind that makes you feel like you are inside a great, big snowglobe. The kids were soooo happy as this is the first real snow of the season, and its a perfect one at that. Seth was all about digging out his snowpants, just in case it snows enough to build a snowfort at recess. :) Caroline dragged a kitchen chair to the back window, sat herself in it, and just watched in wonder. Moxie went to the back window and started barking. Evan was the one who said, "Mom, I think that she's barking at the snow!" Sure enough, you could see her eyes following snowflakes to the ground. Ha! She's never seen this stuff before, and it was darling to see her try to figure out what was going on.

The other exciting thing that happened this morning was that Buddy, our Elf on a Shelf, came to visit us this morning. As soon as Caroline came down the stairs this morning, she was looking for him. He always hides in a new place each morning, watches the kids all day, and then reports back to Santa with their behavior each night. Obviously, his visit inspired them...their behavior was perfect.

It was a GREAT morning!
