Caroline's BIG Night

Except for Evan, I kicked all other boys out of the house tonight. True, they went to their cub scout fall campout. True, they preferred what they were doing for the night over what Caroline, Evan and I were doing. But, the fact remains, it was a girls' (plus Evan) night.

Yes, it was a Mommy, Caroline, and 9 girlfriends (plus Evan) night. Thank God that our babysitter joined us. Our house was hopping.

They put on their pj's and spread out their sleeping bags in the master bedroom almost right away, ate pizza,

decorated Halloween buckets and magnets,

sang some Taylor Swift karaoke and pretended they were puppies,
made jewelry boxes,

sang "Happy Birthday" and ate cupcakes,

and made pumpkins with lots o' "bling".

(The bling was little crystals that they glued all over the pumpkins. One little girl said that we should sell these at Justice. LOL!)

We watched Tinkerbelle and the Great Fairy Rescue and painted their nails some beautiful rainbow colors, and then I read The Night Fairy (a chapter book that Caroline's Aunt Karen and Uncle Jim gave to her) to the girls until they all fell asleep around 11:30.

In the morning, we had our traditional eggs, cinnamon rolls and bacon, and then played until their parents picked them up.
Caroline said that even though she thought the same thing last year, THIS was her favorite birthday party ever. :) She is my sweet little girl!!

LOL! Glad to say I survived the experience with the help of a 2 1/2 hour nap the next day...
