Our hypoallergenic dog has allergies. Poor thing. She's been sentenced to wear the "cone of shame" (remember that from the movie "UP"?) for a week because she won't leave the irritated areas on her skin alone. She is quite depressed about it. Thankfully the antibiotics and Benedryl she's taking is helping her to heal and feel more comfortable, because for a couple of days she was miserable and had to be right with us at all times. The picture that I took of Dave and her shows how they spent Tuesday evening together. Whenever the kids are sick, they curl up on the couch and oftentimes Moxie will comfort them by snuggling with them. I think it's so funny that Moxie was trying to snuggle on the couch with Dave when she wasn't feeling well!
So...after we clear up her skin, we have to try to figure out what her allergens are. I'm reading the materials that the vet gave us and hoping that this process won't be too difficult, and that we can prevent further reactions.
There's never a dull moment around here!
