That's my goal. After letting about another two months slide without updating my blog, I am trying to find a way to start again in a hopefully "very non-overwhelming way". ;)
What got me thinking this way today, a random Tuesday in early February? Well, we ate broccoli for dinner tonight. (We did have spaghetti too, in case you were wondering.) Of course, it makes perfect sense doesn't it. Broccoli equals "Sarah, you should really start posting in your blog again!", right? It does make sense though. (I hope!) Don't worry, I'll explain.
When we were passing the broccoli around the table, one of the kids said with a laugh, "Remember Broccoli Boy?" In case you don't, here's a refresher...One night, when Evan was about 2 1/2, Evan went around the table at dinner time and stole broccoli from everyone's plates. He was eating it like it was going out of style, hence the nickname "Broccoli Boy". Our whole family got the biggest kick out of it, and luckily I caught it on film. I posted it to my blog to preserve for posterity. So tonight, when we were reminiscing about Broccoli Boy, I asked the kids if they would like to watch the video. (I'll put a link at the end of this blog post so you can see it too if you'd like.) That led us to watch all kinds of videos on my blog, look at lots of pictures and read many, many stories. It was so much fun to reminisce together.
That was why I did my blog. And that is why I want to continue it. One picture (or video) a day. It makes it seem like nothing big, but gradually it adds up to be such a treasure for my family. (Click here if you'd like to see the Broccoli Boy clip!)
