Sorry I've been gone so long! We've been without an internet connection for about a week now, and wow, am I happy it's back. I've missed blogging! I am grateful to be back at this particular way to scrapbook, sharing with my family and friends, and focusing on our blessings. Please bear with me as I try to catch up...there will be many a random picture and story in this post. :)
We have had such a wonderful summer so far, full of days at the lake, visits with our family, outings, camps and sports. Henry has enjoyed his swim team, especially because his good friend Ian is on the team with him. One night after a meet, I let the kids stay at the pool and swim when it was dark out. They thought that was pretty cool.
Evan and Miss Moxie continue to wrestle all...the...time.
It's one of my favorite things. ;)
Caroline had two weeks of vacation Bible school this year. She stayed at Grandma Nosek's house for a week with her cousin, Nadia, and couldn't have been happier! Then, the very next week, she went to another VBS with some of her best friends!
Last week Dave caught this
The kids and neighbors thought he was pretty cute. They named him Chip and wanted to keep him as a pet. Moxie did not agree.
And considering that he was digging holes in our garden, we decided to let his new home be at the local forest preserve.
On June 28, Dave and I celebrated 15 years of marriage! Dave's parents watched the kids while Dave and I spent the night at a bed and breakfast in Lake Geneva.
I'm glad I married him. He's a keeper!
A huge storm hit my parent's city on July 2nd. They had winds clocked at 90 mph!! Trees and power lines were down all over town. My parents were without power for 5 days, leaving them without air conditioning in 100+ degree heat! I am so thankful that they are ok.
Another Moxie pic...think these kids love her? Here they are smothering her with affection and every single toy she owns. :)
