She's coming early!!

We've been counting down the days until we pick up our puppy, and just today we got an email from our breeder asking if we could come a couple of days earlier to get the puppy. Needless to say, we agreed. The kids and I will be going on Friday instead of Sunday! I thought that it would be fun for us to all go together to get her, and that way the kids can meet Moxie's mother and siblings. The kids are over the moon! (ME TOO!) Everything is all set up for her, as this past couple of weeks we've done some serious "puppy nesting." We've made her first veterinarian appointment for Monday, and signed her up for training classes in July that our whole family will be attending. All that's left to do is pick up her puppy food, and to get her! :)

We took Henry to his allergy doctor today. He agreed with me that Henry might have a latex allergy. They tested him, and we'll get the results tomorrow. That would be a tough allergy to have, as symptoms are typically significant and can build with each exposure. We're crossing our fingers that the test comes back negative, and that his rashes are just due to his seasonal allergies in a really high pollen count season.

Uncle Gary has finished sanding the basement, so now Dave's moving on to priming everything. The ceiling will be next, paint, carpet and then trim. It's all coming together, and Uncle Gary and Dave have done fabulous work!

Night all!

I hope the alergey test comes back negative!

Yay for the new puppy! I love pets :) I want a new kitty AND a new puppy, but Mike (Bee) won't let me have both lol! I think for as busy as we are, a kitten would be best. They are more self sufficant and aren't as needy as dogs. But someday....someday we can have both! :)

So cute Sarah! What kind of puppy is Moxie? AJ and I were trying to figure it out and couldn't identify the breed ourselves. Good luck on Friday!

Thanks, Kitty! I hear you about "someday". Getting our puppy tomorrow has been about 12 years in the making! You and Mike will know when the time is right. :)

Thanks, Tanya!
Moxie's a Wheaten Terrier. This breed is hypoallergenic (for Henry), good with kids, playful, and just a little smaller than a labrador. (Dave wanted a bigger dog.) Can't wait!
