Caroline's first pet...

...is a black and red furry caterpillar named Squiggly. She told me that she "can't believe that she has her first pet" many times today, and has taken meticulous care of her so far. On another note, she has made me promise many times that when we get a dog, we should get "a girl one." I figure that is the least I can do when our poor daughter is so outnumbered in this family.
