This little boy loves raisins. Not so much bran flakes, but raisins, yes.
And entertaining his brothers and sister.
And goofing off for the camera.
Can you tell?!

Our refrigerator...
...AKA The Nosek Art Gallery
I love the ever changing displays of the kids' art work, school work they are proud of...
Since Sunday, our theme has been...MOM!
Here's Seth's contributions. You can click on the pictures to see them bigger so that they are easier to read.
I love that he says my favorite store is Menards! But, 12 dollars?! What a tight budget! And, wow, according to him I'm 6 feet tall and a hundred pounds. Apparently I am wasting away.

After School Fun
We had some friends over this afternoon, and boy, these kids sure can pack a lot into a couple of hours. They had until 5:30, but they fit in some group play with their Nintendo DSs (apparently somehow they can all play the same game together if they are close enough), some oatmeal cookie baking and eating, some Wii and Playstation, some bike riding, and some elaborate tag game with neighborhood friends. When it was bedtime, our kids were TIRED!

Good thing it was a good TV night...
...because the piles of laundry I had to conquer, you could not even imagine. :)
How will I ever get my laundry done when American Idol and Dancing with the Stars is over for the season?!
I was also working on Henry's invitations for his "friends" birthday party. Last year we had a few of his good friends over for pizza, movie, and a sleepover. Well, that party idea is back by popular demand. I'm thinking that we need to start stocking up on sleep NOW.

Some work, some play
While the boys were at school today, Caroline and I were working on cleaning up after yesterday's party. She was such a good helper. Her favorite job, by far, was washing the silverware in a big sink full of suds. Good, clean fun!
When the boys came home from school, and after they helped me clean up the playroom, we all went outside to play with Henry's new sidewalk paint. (Dynamite decorated driveway, kids!)
Finally, here's young Evan playing with my new Wii Fit...in his froggy "workout" boots, of course.

10 years ago today...
...I spent my first official Mother's Day quite differently. We had plans to spend the day with my mom and dad. But instead, being very pregnant with Henry, I went into labor. We called my mom from the hospital saying that we couldn't get together with her, that we had made other plans. We were going to have our first child. I was going to become a mother for the first time.
8 minutes past Mother's Day, on May 10, 1999, Henry James Nosek was born. We are blessed with a funny, smart and caring young man, and are so thankful that God gave him to us.
Today, May 10, 2009, (Henry's Golden Birthday), we celebrated Henry, the special moms in our lives, and the blessing of motherhood with our extended family. It couldn't have been a more beautiful day, and it was wonderful to be together with everyone! (By the way, if you are wondering why Evan wasn't in this picture, there was a good reason. He was blowing Henry's candles out, the little stinker. :) )

Funny Faces
I took the kids to a red, white and blue themed spring dance at their school last night. Wow, did they have fun! Caroline and her friends were being big hams, clowning for the the camera. Priceless. Such fun to have good material to embarrass them with when they are teenagers.
